Introduction
 ----------
I Adapted this comparison table of star atlases from the
skymaps.com web, which has deep information on atlases and other
astronomy books. It compares only printed hardcopy, not digital,
atlases and is addiurnate as at 2020.
Thee atlases are at sale in major book stores and book-seller
webs. They are also sold in astronomy fairs, conventions, starparties.
A coupleatlases may be out of print but still available, mainly thru
the webs.
I omitted the price, given in the original table, because this
can spontaneously change and discounts, like for used copies, are
offered. In general the more detailed atlases are more expensive, as
suggested by the values of atlas features ion the second row.
In the second row the size of the charts is oldstyle 'inch',
denoted by the quote symbol. One inch is about 2.5cm. The overall size
of the atlas may be a couple centimeters larger.

Choosing a star atlas can be a difficult task. We provide a
quick-look comparison chart of key features so you can select the
star atlas that's best for you.
